Apple Pie Cheesecake

With Thanksgiving being tomorrow its too late to have a delicious mix on hand, but don't be discouraged. There is still plenty of time to order for Christmas! This pie is the perfect dish to bring with you to the holiday parties or dinner with the family. This is also much lighter than a full blown fruit pie. The beauty of Party Time Mixes is that there are so many dessert flavors, if you aren't an apple fan try it with Cherries Jubilee.

Apple Pie Cheesecake by Alisha M Eubanks

Recipe: Pie mix:
1 package Party Time Mixes Apple Pie Dessert Mix
8 oz softened cream cheese
8 oz whipped topping

Topping:
2 small granny Smith apples (peeled, cored and sliced)
2 tbsp margarine
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp lemon juice

1 Graham cracker pie crust

Instructions:
1. Mix apple pie mix and cream cheese together until well blended.
2. Fold whipped topping in.
3. Chill for 1 hour.
4. Melt butter in pan and cook apples until most of butter is gone but DO NOT OVERCOOK. You want apples crisp on the outside but soft on the inside.
5. Remove from heat and add sugars and toss.
6. Cool in fridge.
7. Pour cheesecake into crust and top with fried apples.
